Renegade Professional Review: Day 1

I want to introduce you to Mike Klingler and his Renegade University and Renegade Professional tutorial program. Finally, there is a step-by-step online program that teaches you how to get your business online using all the most effective tools available. In his introduction, he states that anyone, even someone totally new to the computer and the Internet, can learn these tools. That's how detailed he says his video instruction is. I have decided to give it a shot myself and at the same time want to report back on my results. Therefore, I will be jumping into the tutorials fairly intensively and providing an evaluation on a weekly basis. After one month, I expect to digest quite a bit of the training material.

Why should you care about Internet marketing? Well, ten years ago, promoting your business was quite different than today. The old-school way of networking was done by meeting with potential clients face-to-face at parties, business network associations, or by word-of-mouth referrals. With the proliferation of the Internet, there are now more options. In fact, the options for using the leverage of technology can be quite dizzying. And if you are from the baby boomer generation, chances are you have to work harder to drill some of these new technologies into your brain.

Take for example the industry known as network marketing. Fifty years ago, when the first network marketing companies started, it was novel. There were no computers, no Facebooks, no Twitter accounts and no i Phones. Just people who knew other people. That's where the old-school style of networking started. You started talking with your circle of friends, family and business associates. We all have our own networks. And then those people had different networks of people and so your business could grow indefinitely, theoretically.

And then along comes the Internet and the virtual social networks where you could leverage the power of technology to touch more people...globally. Enter Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and the hundreds of other social media where you can make friends and build relationships with a like-minded group of folks.

For someone new to this world on online marketing, there is good news. Others have blazed the trail for those who may be technically-challenged. Many leaders have emerged to help you learn the ropes of this new Internet Network Marketing. Or, if you're not involved in network marketing, the same techniques and strategies can be used to build any business online. Some of the benefits of "attraction marketing" are as follows:

• You build a list of targeted prospects for your products or services;
• You then give them value that they are interested in;
• You continue to build a relationship with them with valuable content;
• You offer them low-cost products that they want and need to build their business;
• People start coming to you pre-sold instead of you chasing people;
  
• You offer your primary product or service on the back end of this process.
• They call this a marketing "funnel." All you have to do is continue to drive targeted traffic to the funnel.
• No more cold calling or buying leads are necessary.
  

Once they opt into your list, you begin to build a real asset. And then you can use the technology available to easily stay in touch with them. Sharing value with 1,000 or 10,000 people on your list is just as easy as writing to one person. Now that's leverage!

In the old school, to get that kind of leverage, you would have to be a great speaker and talk at a convention of people. Now, you can reach huge numbers from your home computer typing at your keyboard. And with all the tools and technology available now, you can use your words, video, audio pictures and more.
